Oh Hello, I didn't know you were there

So apparently I have readers. Hello readers, welcome to my little corner of the net, my piece of insanity that is The Stylin' Lounge.

I suppose an introduction is in order.

I'm Steve, your author and host here in the lounge, there are numerous comfortable chairs around to relax in, feel free to curl up and get cozy.

As the song lyric goes; I'm a Newfoundlander born and bred and I'll be one till I die.  Newfoundland being an island off the coast of Canada in the middle of the North Atlantic. I'm thirty six years old, overweight but working on it. I'm a child of a broken home, but hey, shit happens. Dad lives here and Mom lives in England. I'm a brother to one sister and an uncle to two amazing nephews and I have three awesome step-sisters. I like football and porno and books about war... Wait that was Dennis Leary.  I read, I write, I watch tv and movies that I find interesting. I seem to always be online. I'm a first class nerd and proud of it.

I work as a night auditor in a hotel, that's the regular job.  On the side, I'm on the organizing committee for Sci-Fi On The Rock, a yearly Science Ficton convention here in St. John's. I'm an author and part time editor for Engen Books and I have three short stories in collections they have put out.  Legacy of the Full Moon, Vengeance of the Full Moon & Shadows of The Full Moon, in Sci-Fi From The Rock, More Sci-Fi From The Rock & Sci-Fi From The Rock Return respectively. All three can be bought in the Engen store, check them out and their other titles.

If that wasn't enough, I also host a weekly podcast, The Whostorian, all about Doctor Who.  It's expanded recently to include the podcast itself on Mondays, a video review on Fridays and a written blog posting on Wednesdays.

Lastly, I've decided to commit myself to posting as much as I can here in The Stylin' Lounge.  It can be anything that's on my mind, a part of a new story I'm working on, a poem, a limerick or just a general rant. It could be complete and total nonsense or something very nerdy, I don't know from one day to the next what I might say. But it's fun finding out. EDIT: posting updates has been more frequently infrequent than I intended, but at least I'm consistently inconsistent. - Steve

So that's about it, that's me in a not very small nutshell.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your stay here in the Lounge.

- Stylin' Steve

Just reading what all you do tires me out. I guess that's why your the inspiration and I'm the fan. Keep doing what your doing so I can have someone to follow.

Strangely, doing everything doesn't really tire me out. The diversity keeps my mind active and firing on all cylinders. I'm always doing something, somewhere.
