Ok, try and follow me on this and see if it makes any sense.
One
of the worst things that can happen to a guy when he's interested in a
woman, is to be relegated to the "Friend Zone." Once there, that's it.
There's no chance that a romantic or sexual thought will ever be
attributed to anyone in the "Friend Zone." You're essentially a living,
breathing teddy bear.
You're done. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00, don't ever think you're leaving. End. Of. Story.
But...
If
that's the case, if the "Friend Zone" is this inescapable Phantom
Zone-esque place, where you're doomed to an eternity of late night
supportive phone calls while she talks about her current or her ex, platonic hugs and a
well worn shoulder to cry on.
How does it come to pass then, that at a wedding, when the
bride is talking about the day and how great things are and how happy
she is, why is it that she invariably says:
"Today I married my BEST FRIEND" ?
How does this happen if once you're in the "Friend Zone" there is no escape?
